Celebrated Environment Day

ENVIRONMENT & ECO CLUB

World Environment Day was celebrated at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, on 5 June with a plantation drive in the college campus. The programme was organized by the Environment Club in collaboration with the National Service Scheme Unit and other college clubs. The event was held under the guidance of Hon’ble MLA Faridkot, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon, and under the leadership of Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan. On this occasion, various saplings including neem, jackfruit, amla, tulsi, moringa, curry leaf, lemon, aloe vera, lemon grass and cardamom were planted in the campus. Speaking on the occasion, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon emphasized that planting trees is not enough; their proper care and protection are equally important. He appreciated the efforts of the Principal, staff and students for making the campus greener and for promoting environmental awareness. Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan highlighted the importance of World Environment Day and encouraged everyone to contribute towards nature conservation, climate protection and a sustainable future. Prof. Rajeshwari Devi, In-charge of the Environment Club and NSS, along with the faculty members, expressed gratitude to the chief guest and all participants for their active involvement.

Book “How to Enjoy Life?” by Dr. Sandeep Singh Ghand Released to the Public

The book “How to Enjoy Life?” authored by Dr. Sandeep Singh Ghand, dedicated to the cherished memory of Dr. Kanwaldeep Singh Brar, was formally released to the public at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot. A special ceremony was organized on this occasion under the chairmanship of the college principal, Dr. Rajesh Mohan. The book was released with the support of the Old Students’ Association (OSA) of the college.The unveiling of the book was performed by Mrs. Kirandeep Kaur Brar. On this occasion, the President of the OSA, Principal Dr. Parminder Singh, welcomed all attendees. Dr. Sandeep Ghand, in his address, fondly remembered his late friend Dr. Kanwaldeep Singh Brar and shared insights about the book.In addition, Mrs. Kirandeep Kaur, Mr. Amardeep Singh—President of Lions Club Faridkot (Vishal)—and Principal Dr. Sukhchain Singh Brar shared their thoughts with the students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan. The role of stage secretary was efficiently performed by Lion Gurwinder Singh Dhingra.Among those present on the occasion were Dr. Nirmal Kaushik, Principal Suresh Arora, Radha Krishan, Dr. Jugraj Singh, Baldev Teriya, Vinod Mittar, Harinder Dua, Swaranjit Singh Gill, Vishwajit Singh Deji, Santokh Singh, and Dr. Kuldeep Kaur. At Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, a seminar was organized on the occasion of National Unity Day dedicated to the “Iron Man of India,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event was held under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan and jointly coordinated by the NSS Unit and the Social Science Club of the college.On this occasion, Prof. Manvinder Kaur administered the oath to all faculty members and students to uphold and promote national unity. Successful Organization of the Play “Swachhta Hi Seva” at Government College of Education

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, the Central Bureau of Communication, Chandigarh, organized a play on the theme “Swachhta Hi Seva” at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan and the leadership of S. Natha Singh Bhullar (BDO, Faridkot). The play was performed by Jeeve Punjab Rangmanch, Faridkot, with the objective of motivating students to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings.The event was jointly supported by the college’s Social Education Club, Theatre Club, and Environment Club. While conducting the stage proceedings, Prof. Birinderjeet Singh informed the audience that the play’s producer-director, Sarabjit Singh Teetu, has been associated with theatre and Doordarshan for many years. He has produced approximately 35–36 telefilms and has received numerous awards from both the Government of India and the Government of Punjab. His work has also taken him to various countries for theatrical and cinematic presentations.Prof. Birinderjeet Singh extended gratitude to Sarabjit Singh Teetu and his entire team at the conclusion of the programme, after which the faculty members felicitated the artists. National Youth Club Faridkot organized a seminar on women's health

National Youth Club Faridkot organized a seminar on women's health at the local Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot. Dr. Nishi Garg MD Gynaecologist attended as the chief guest.The seminar was jointly inaugurated by Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan and Dr. Nishi Garg. In this, information was given about the mental, physical and social problems of women in the present era. On this occasion, Dr. Garg said thatIn today's hectic life, women are facing many problems which can be solved by improving our daily habits. He said that healthy life is the real life and every woman should keep making efforts to stay healthy. 79th Independence Day celebrated at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot

August 15 The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot. The ceremony of hoisting the national flag was performed by Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan at the college. The ceremony of national singing was performed by the entire staff.
