Student Grievance Redressal

The grievance redressal mechanism provides a fair, transparent and time-bound channel for students and prospective students to raise academic, administrative, admission, fee, scholarship, examination, facility, discrimination or student-support related grievances in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023.

Student Grievance Redressal Committee

The Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) receives and examines student grievances, provides an opportunity of hearing where required, and recommends suitable redressal in a fair and reasoned manner.

Grievances Covered

Admission process and declared admission policy Prospectus, fee, refund and document-related matters Scholarship, financial assistance and student welfare support Examination schedule, result delay or evaluation process concerns Student facilities promised in prospectus or institutional rules Discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment of students

Redressal Process

  1. Submit the grievance Student submits a written or online grievance with name, class, roll number, contact details, subject and supporting documents, if any.
  2. Committee review The grievance is placed before the SGRC for scrutiny, hearing and recommendation as per the applicable UGC procedure.
  3. Decision and communication The committee communicates its decision or recommendation to the concerned student and the institution for necessary action.
  4. Appeal, if required A student aggrieved by the SGRC decision may prefer an appeal to the Ombudsperson within the prescribed period.

How to Submit

  • Write the grievance clearly with relevant dates and facts.
  • Attach copies of documents, receipts, notices or correspondence where applicable.
  • Submit through the college office or the notified online channel when available.
  • Keep acknowledgement or reference details for follow-up.
