The Girls' Hostel of Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, provides residential accommodation to eligible girl students of the college. The hostel is located within the college campus and is managed in accordance with the norms and rules of the university and government. It aims to provide a safe, disciplined and supportive environment where students can focus on their academic, professional and personal development.
The Girls' Hostel has rooms and can accommodate up to 42 girl students at a time. Admission to the hostel is granted subject to availability of seats, eligibility, completion of required admission formalities and approval by the competent authority. Preference and allotment are governed by the rules framed by the college and hostel committee.
The hostel is supervised by the Principal, Hostel Warden and Hostel Committee. Residents are required to follow hostel timings, maintain cleanliness, observe discipline, respect hostel property and comply with rules regarding visitors, leave, attendance, mess, fee payment and conduct. The hostel also follows strict anti-ragging norms, and any violation of discipline may lead to disciplinary action as per rules.
The hostel mess facility is provided for resident students, with emphasis on hygienic and nutritious food. Students are expected to cooperate in maintaining a healthy, respectful and peaceful residential atmosphere.
