World Environment Day was celebrated at Desh Bhagat Pandit Chetan Dev Government College of Education, Faridkot, on 5 June with a plantation drive in the college campus. The programme was organized by the Environment Club in collaboration with the National Service Scheme Unit and other college clubs. The event was held under the guidance of Hon’ble MLA Faridkot, S. Gurdit Singh Sekhon, and under the leadership of Principal Dr. Rajesh Mohan. On this occasion, various saplings including neem, jackfruit, amla, tulsi, moringa, curry leaf, lemon, aloe vera, lemon grass and cardamom were planted in the campus.
