Internship is an essential component of the teacher education programme. It provides student-teachers with supervised exposure to real school settings, classroom processes, lesson planning, teaching practice, school records, assessment work, co-curricular activities and reflective professional learning. The college coordinates internship activities with practice-teaching schools so that student-teachers gradually develop confidence, classroom management skills, pedagogical competence and an understanding of school culture.
